How many people will go and watch Bollywood (Hindi) Hit Movies in theater...(we just skip about flop movies for the time being...)
My Answer is around 10-20% of total Hindi movie lovers or even less idon't know. (As i observed from Delhi NCR region)
I came from andhrapradesh where the % of telugumovie lovers watch movies in theater are above 50% for a hit movie.
Why this much difference is happening for bollywood movies.
The reason is simple they mainly depend on Multiplex market. And the cost of tickets there are much higher when compared with single screen theaters. This thing makes watching a hindi movie a luxury item for consumers and many people will skip luxaries by considering their budget. Where as the ticket cost of Telugu/Tamil Movies are at normal price which can be consumed by a middleclass person. So the % viewer ship in theaters is much higher than Bollywood.
An average movie in telugu has viewers more than the Blockbuster movie of Bollywood Ghajani...
The second one is wide range of piracy. When a new movie is released with in a month that movie is telicasted in local cable channel... :(

Increase the single screen theaters and reduce the ticket cost.. it will increase the viewer ship a little bit
And next thing is piracy.. this is happening in every industry...

lack of concentration on single screens is maily due to piracy.
Industry should concentrate on piracy.
